At the end of the year, the first industrial coagulator is put into operation at the Alpenhain subsidiary.
At that time, it still had a capacity of 10,000 liters of milk per hour.
1970
Gottfried Hain junior drives forward numerous pioneering innovations that establish ALPMA as a leading provider of cheese-making and packaging technology.
His most important developments include the coagulator for continuous curd production, the full mechanization of cheese production with block moulds, the CUT cutting machines for semi-hard and hard cheeses and the SAN series packaging machines for soft cheeses.
1963
ALPMA has always been one of the most important training companies in the region. In 1963, in-company training was inaugurated in the new training workshop in Lehen.
Gottfried Hain junior officially takes over as Managing Director and ushers in a new era for the company. Under his leadership, the company headquarters are relocated from Lehen to Rott am Inn, where the new ALPMA plant is built step by step.
At the same time, he establishes a global sales network that includes subsidiaries in France, Great Britain, Switzerland and Spain.
1953
Gottfried Hain always focuses on the wishes and suggestions of his customers. As early as 1953, the company delivered its first machines to France, a country renowned for its cheese-making tradition, especially for cheeses such as Camembert and Roquefort.
After graduating as an engineer from the Technical University of Munich, Gottfried Hain junior gained practical experience there and worked for a year in various cheese dairies.
1947
Alpenland Maschinenbau GmbH is formed, which is henceforth known as ALPMA and is entered in the commercial register.
1942
Lehen (Upper Bavaria): Cheese dairy owner Gottfried Hain is struggling with persistent problems - stubborn packaging films and an acute shortage of staff are hampering operations. The solution is a new type of packaging machine.
With the support of master mechanical engineer and co-founder of ALPMA, Hermann Mieler, a functional machine is developed during the war. The result is convincing: other cheese dairies also show great interest in Gottfried Hain's pioneering invention.
